Reservoir Run, October 25

Last year’s Kiwanis Reservoir Run event was a record breaker, and the 2026 edition is on track to be even bigger. The annual event features a half marathon, a 5K, and the Kids Fun Runs & Family Stroll.

Only a few days remain to register at a discounted rate, which you can do here.

Proceeds benefit community organizations, including the Child & Family Guidance Center, the Kiwanis Club of Weston Foundation and the Weston High School Boosters Club.

As a bonus, registering for the 5K or half marathon gets you a chance to win one of four free roundtrip tickets on JetBlue, anywhere the airline flies.

A few changes have been made. The Kids Fun Run will now have a fun warmup before the races start. And an adjustment has been made to the half marathon.

Apparently, the last mile or so up Weston Road has become known as Heartbreak Hill. There’s no change to the route, but Heartbreak Hill has been rebranded. It’s now Inspiration Hill, because runners will be reinvigorated by music performed by the Weston High School band. That should do it.
