Hazardous Waste Drop-Off, Sept. 12

Hazardous household waste can be safely disposed of on Saturday September 12 in Wilton at Miller-Driscoll School, 217 Wolfpit Road.
Items can be dropped off from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Place the items in the back of your vehicle and stay inside at all times. Workers will remove the materials.
Bring identification, as you must be a resident of Weston or another member town of HRRA, the Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority. (See below for the list of HRRA member towns.)
Items that can be accepted
- 1 lb. single-use propane cylinders
- Aerosol cans - full or partially full
- Carburetor cleaners, brake fluids
- Cleaners for oven, toilet bowl & drain
- Cleaners for rug & upholstery
- Dry cleaning solvents
- Engine degreasers
- Flea powder
- Hobby supplies
- Lighter fluids
- Mercury thermostats, thermometers
- Moth balls
- Paints
- Paint thinners & strippers
- Pesticides, herbicides, insecticides (including lawn care products)
- Photo chemicals, chemistry sets
- Polishes for furniture, floor & metal
- Resins, rosins & adhesives
- Rubber cement, airplane glue
- Septic tank degreasers
- Spot removers
- Stains and varnishes
- Swimming pool chemicals
- Transmission fluids, car waxes
- Vapes
- Waste fuels (kerosene, gasoline)
- Wood preservatives
