Democratic Primary, August 11
An August primary election will decide the Democratic nominee for governor, a contest between Governor Ned Lamont, who seeks a third term, and State Rep. Josh Elliott of Hamden.
Election Day is Tuesday, August 11, but before that absentee ballots can be cast and there are seven days of early voting.
The portal to apply for an absentee ballot is open now, reachable here. For the first time, no excuse is required.
Early voting takes place on these dates and times in the Weston Town Hall Meeting Room:
- Monday, August 3 — 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Tuesday, August 4 — 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
- Wednesday, August 5 — 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Thursday, August 6 — 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
- Friday, August 7 — 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Saturday, August 8 — 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Sunday, August 9 — 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
There is no early voting on Monday, August 10.
Voting on Election Day, Tuesday August 11, takes place at Weston Middle School (back entrance) from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
