Art Exhibition Opens

Works of art in the Weston Library’s Community Room drew a large audience at the exhibition’s opening reception on July 8.

The works by about 50 artists in the region will be on display during the library’s open hours throughout July. The exhibition was organized by Cindy Wagner and Nancy Klein of the Weston Commission for the Arts, whose call to artists in April drew a robust response.

At press time, only a few spots remain open for two free art classes Ms. Wagner is conducting at the library in July.

The first, on Saturday, July 11 from 1:30 to 3:30, is for young artists over age eight, a chance to expand their drawing skills in a still life workshop.

The second, also a still life class, is for adults. It takes place on Saturday, July 18 from 10:00 am to noon.

Registration for either session can be done here.
