Richard Bochinski Dies at 83

Richard Bochinski, a 54-year Weston resident who served the town in public office for 42 years, passed away on May 31.

Town Clerk Donna Anastasia presented a summary of Mr. Bochinski’s service to Weston over the course of five decades:

• Board of Finance: 1981-1985.
• Board of Selectmen: 1985-1991.
• Devil’s Den Preserve Committee: 1990-2005.
• Board of Ethics: 1997-2004.
• Nature Center Building Committee: 2001-2010.
• Board of Assessment Appeals: 2003-2005.
• Board of Education: 2005-2009.
• Charter Revision Commission: 2011.
• Board of Finance: 2013-2023.

Professionally, Mr. Bochinski was a 40-year career educator at the high school and college levels. His wife, Pamela, passed away in 2022.
