Republicans Endorse Alma Sarelli for Senate

Westport RTM member Alma Sarelli received the Republican endorsement for the 26^th State Senate district at the party’s convention on May 19.

The 26^th district includes Weston, Westport, Wilton, Redding, and parts of Ridgefield, New Canaan, Darien and Stamford.

“I am honored and humbled by this nomination,” said Ms. Sarelli. “The residents of the 26^th district deserve a strong, dedicated voice in Hartford, someone who will listen, lead, and deliver results every day.”

A 17-year Connecticut resident, Ms. Sarelli serves on several Westport Representative Town Meeting committees and as a Justice of the Peace. She is also involved with several community organizations.

In her April candidacy announcement, Ms. Sarelli said her campaign will focus on “affordability, local decision-making, public safety, support for small businesses, educational excellence, and fiscally responsible policies.”

A “proud immigrant from Albania,” Ms. Sarelli holds a degree in Business Management from Berkeley and co-owns a national event entertainment production company with her husband.
