Dr. Deborah Mayer, 78
Dr. Deborah Amy Mayer, aged 78, of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Dr. Edward John Kosinski.
A service to honor her life will be held at Norfield Congregational Church, located at 64 Norfield Road, Weston, Connecticut, on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, the family will receive friends to celebrate Deborah’s life and memory. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.
Born on December 7, 1947, in Yonkers, New York, Deborah was the cherished daughter of the late David Mayer and Blanche Eisnitz Mayer. A dedicated physician, Deborah devoted her life to the practice of medicine, caring for others with compassion, intelligence, and quiet strength.
Beyond her professional calling, she was deeply devoted to her family and found great joy in her children and grandchildren. She was also known for her sense of humor and love of laughter, her enthusiasm as a Boston Red Sox fan, and her deep appreciation for nature, often finding her greatest peace and happiness on long walks outdoors.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Dr. Edward John Kosinski; her three children, Daniel Kosinski and his wife, Dr. Kathryn Conley, of Larchmont, New York; Julia Kosinski and her husband, Saul Cardenas, of Weston, Connecticut; and Benjamin Kosinski of Miami, Florida; and her five grandchildren: Peyton Kosinski, Charles Kosinski, Ronen Cardenas, Eli Cardenas, and Mara Cardenas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Blanche Mayer, and her sister, Susan Mayer.
