The Weston Commission for the Arts invites artists to submit works for a July exhibition at the Weston Public Library titled “Weston Celebrates America 250.”
The invitation is an open call for fine art paintings, drawings, collage, photography, digital art, and AI art. The library cannot accommodate free-standing sculptures, but sculptors can submit preliminary drawings or lighter-weight reliefs that can securely hang on the library’s display system.
There is no entry fee. Artists age 14 and older can submit up to three pieces by email to cindywagnerart@gmail.com with the subject “Weston Celebrates America 250.”
The deadline for submission is May 31. More information, various rules, and the submission form can be found here.
The exhibition in the library Community Room will run from July 3 to July 31 as the nation’s 250th is celebrated with a number of events including the traditional Fourth of July festivities, a tailgating contest, a bell ringing ceremony, and a family field day and picnic.
