Pep Rally Collects Food
A pep rally at Weston High School on February 5 celebrated the student government’s winter food drive, which collected more than 900 pounds of food for Person-to-Person, the nonprofit that provides support and emergency assistance for those facing food insecurity.
The SOUPer Bowl rally featured students and staff competing in a basketball game (won by students) and other contests.
The high school also has a new mascot, thanks to a donation by the Weston Gun Club. In the photo above, accepting the donation are Alice Sullivan, student government co-president, Ken Friedrichsen, Weston Gun Club president, the new mascot, Principal Meghan Conetta, and student government co-president Izzy Gronowetter.
