Norfield Congregational Church will celebrate Christmas with three worship services on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th at 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 8:00 pm.
The 4:00 service is a family friendly service geared toward children, featuring a unique Shadow Puppet Nativity Play. The creator of the play, Norfield Director of Music and Worship Arts Dr. David H. Connell will serve as puppet master, assisted by Weston resident Casey Lerner. Rev. Jack Mahoney will serve as narrator and will also preach. The service lasts approximately 45 minutes.
The Rev. Dr. Bernard R. Wilson will preach at the 6:00 and 8:00 services with Scripture readings and traditional Christmas carols. The Norfield Sanctuary Choir with guest soloists and a brass ensemble will be featured.
The Christmas Eve services will be livestreamed, and then available on demand on the Norfield Church YouTube channel.
All are welcome to attend these free, public worship services. Christmas Eve services often fill up, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Norfield Church is located at 64 Norfield Road in Weston. Traditional Sunday services are held year-round at 10:00 am.
