Coley House Christmas Tours

On December 19 and 20, you can explore the Coley House at the Weston History & Culture Center (104 Weston Road), decorated as it would have been for Christmas during World War II.

The tour starts with live music from the jazz duo “On The Count of Two” in the visitor’s center. While you’re there, enjoy holiday treats made from World War II ration recipes.

Then step back in time to the 1940s. Follow your tour guide, who is dressed in period costume, to the historic Coley House, where the last three generations of the Coley family resided.

You will see authentic 1930s and 1940s holiday decorations, learn how World War II affected holiday celebrations in America, and listen to original radio broadcasts featuring Bing Crosby and Judy Garland. At the end, it’s time for more treats and live jazz holiday tunes.

Tours on Friday evening the 19th are at 6:00 and 7:30. Tours on Saturday the 20th are at 4:30, 6:00, and 7:30. Tickets are $15 for WHCC members, $25 for those not yet members. Space is limited, so tickets must be purchased in advance here.
