Point to Point Swim, July 20
The annual Point to Point Open Water Swim Race takes place on Sunday, July 20 at Compo Beach, a Westport Weston Family YMCA event that benefits the Y’s water safety swim lesson programs.
This is the 46th year of the one-mile timed swim that draws participants from Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and throughout New England.
You can register here to participate, learn more, and see sponsorship opportunities. Pre-registration is $60 and includes a swim cap, t-shirt, and timing chip. On the day of the event, registration is $75.
On that Sunday morning, swimmers check in at 7:00 am. The race starts at 8:00 with a time trial for swimmers age 14 and older. Awards will be presented to top finishers. There are two shorter races for young participants: a 100-yard swim for ages 7 to 10 and one 200 yards for ages 11 to 14.
After the swim, a light breakfast will be available and an awards celebration will be held.
