Children’s Concerts at the Levitt

A series of children’s concerts is underway at the Levitt Pavilion, performances by award-winning children’s music artists, all for free.
Children’s Series concerts take place on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays in June, July and August. They also feature pre-show activities, including giveaways and a touch-a-truck experience.
Keep an eye on The Calendar for upcoming children’s programs and the rolling set of regular music, dance, and comedy shows that are announced throughout the season, many of them free. Or visit the Levitt Pavilion website from time to time, where you can also reserve tickets for free shows and purchase tickets for others.
Upcoming Children’s Series shows include:
- June 18: Three-time Grammy-nominated Brady Rymer & The Little Band That Could.
- June 25: The Hall Family, featuring Parents’ Choice Award Winner Emily Rabon.
- July 1: Parents’ Choice Award Winner Elena Moon Park.
- July 9: Grammy Award-winner Joanie Leeds.
- July 15: Real-life New York City Park Ranger Hopalong Andrew.

- August 19: The Dirty Sock Fun Time Band, celebrating their 20th anniversary, the Children’s Series finale. This is both an annual Special Needs Community Celebration and a back-to-school spectacular.
An ice cream truck is on site at each children’s show. As with all free programs at the Levitt, patrons are welcome to picnic on the lawn, enjoy Saugatuck River breezes, and bring in outside food and drink.
Children’s Series shows “are engaging and entertaining for all ages,” said Freda Welsh, president and CEO of the nonprofit Levitt Pavilion. “The musicians are world-class artists and educators who are incredibly skilled at making music for children and highly listenable for adults. The series is designed to be fun for the whole family.”
“Less phones and screens and more being present and connected,” said Carleigh Welsh, the Levitt’s vice president and executive producer. “that’s a central part of what we do together through this series and our season.”
Ms. Welsh said the series is designed for kids to have a chance to play, make new friends, discover new sounds and stories, and engage with the arts, nature, and each other.
