Five Weston authors who write in various genres discuss their work, their processes, and the writing life in a panel hosted by Friends of the Weston Library on Saturday afternoon, August 3.
The program, taking place in the Weston Public Library’s Community Room at 2:00, is part of an adult summer reading program, “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” You can register here for a seat.

Trevor Crafts most recently wrote “The Unseen Photos of Street Gang: How We got to Sesame Street.” The volume is a companion photo book to his Emmy Award-winning documentary on the origins of Sesame Street, “Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street.” Mr. Crafts, the driving force behind the steampunk series “Lantern City,” also created the children’s graphic novel "The Not-So Secret Society."
Heather Frimmer, a radiologist, is the author of two novels, “Bedside Manners” and “Better to Trust,” where she draws on her knowledge and experience to create stories of characters dealing with major medical issues. Acclaim for her fiction includes National Indie Excellence and Independent Press awards.
Lisa Grunwald is the author of seven novels. Her most recent work, "The Evolution of Annabel Craig," is the story of a young Southern woman on a journey of self-discovery when her faith and marriage are tested by the infamous 1925 Scopes Trial. Ms. Grunwald has also edited several anthologies and is an occasional essayist.
Heather Pemberton started her career as a print and broadcast technology journalist, writing and editing articles for over 30 years. She has hosted livestreamed interviews with the likes of Malcolm Gladwell and Will Smith and blogged “Mommy Truths” from 2006 to 2011. “Hidden Below,” a suspense thriller about the flooding of Valley Forge, is her first novel.
Aline Weiller is an essayist, publicist, and stand-up comedian. A nine-time Connecticut Press Club award winner, her essays have been chosen for dramatic readings and published in Brain Child Magazine, Grown & Flown, and other publications. Ms. Weiller’s 2024 title, “FUN: Essays on a Life Embraced” is her debut book.
