New Library Director Welcomed

Friends and fans of the Weston Public Library gathered on Saturday, March 18 to meet and greet Ian Parsells, the library’s new director.

The appointment of Mr. Parsells was announced in January. Previously, he served as the Head Librarian and Director of the Derby Neck Library Association. He is also a member of the board of directors of Bibliomation, Connecticut’s open source library consortium.

Introduced by Library Board chair Lori Goertz and Friends of the Weston Public Library president Sadaf Siddiqui, Mr. Parsells said, “This library is something special. We are building on a great foundation, so look for exciting things to come.”
