Amy Weisman Honored by Forbes

Amy Weisman, Weston resident and Managing Director of business development at Sterling Investment Partners, is featured in a Forbes magazine “50 Over 50 Women in Finance” series.

“It has been a joy to be in this industry,” said Ms. Weisman, “but as importantly for me to have been mentoring a younger generation of women.”

The Forbes series profiling 50 women “shaping the future of finance” was launched in June in partnership with Mika Brzezinski’s Know Your Value initiative. “These 50 women are shaping the future of finance, fueling high-growth businesses and forging a more innovative and inclusive financial future,” says Forbes.

The Forbes profile of Ms. Weisman notes that she began her career in finance as an analyst at Smith Barney, was later a partner at the private equity Colt Capital Group firm, and joined Sterling Investment Partners in 2001.

The profile also highlights Ms. Weisman for co-founding, in 2017 at the age of 53, a network for senior women in private equity. 30 years into a finance career while caring for her children and parents, she “realized she could do more to support female dealmakers.”

In a previous honor, Ms. Weisman was named one of The Wall Street Journal’s 10 Women to Watch in Private Equity in 2020.
