All three members of the Board of Selectmen will participate in a Weston League of Women Voters "State of the Town" discussion on Saturday morning, October 5 at the Weston Public Library. The event is set to begin at 10:30.

In other election seasons, this might be a League-sponsored debate. But this year, First Selectman Chris Spaulding and Selectmen Stephan Grozinger and Samantha Nestor are all running unopposed. The October 5 forum is designed to give them an opportunity to share individual ideas about Weston, its future, and exchange views with members of the public.

The discussion will be moderated by Laura Smits, a former resident who now serves on the board of the League of Women Voters of Connecticut. Comments and questions from the audience will be welcome. Ms. Smits will serve to focus the discussion and preserve the League's standards for civil civic discourse.

Coffee will be provided by the League. Shortly after the event, a video of the meeting will be availalbe for viewing online and DVD copies will be available at the Library.
